The Affair

Whimsy knew there was a greater purpose as the current matriarch of the Clan. As partial as she was to the Patriarch, Edmund, allowing his to be the only seed sown would end up stunting their Clan...
It was this reasoning with which she came to Rav, one of the only Wildclaws in the Clan, and proposed a clutch.
He had known his leader for many a year, and he wasn't keen on the proposition at first. Whimsy, however, was quite insistent on the matter. He wasn't given room for debate, so he agreed.

As the time the new lovers spent together drew on, Rav found a new, surprising, sense of affection for the eccentric female growing. It took him by surprise, he hadn't expected to feel so strongly about his future Clan Leaders, and yet the feelings of Pride and Love that swelled in his heart when he looked at those delicate eggs nestled warmly in their nest were overwhelming. Existence shaking.
