Their eyes opened, and for mere moments they could see two furred dragons. When they rested for a bit, having still been weak from hatching, there was a strange noise of something breaking, and when they awoke, one of them was gone, leaving the other behind.

The one left turned out to be their father, despite their immense differences. According to what they could make out of his words, there had been a bit of an incedent involving a spill of some potion of sorts. Because of this, the two twins appeared nothing like their parents, and rather than fluffy, were scaly, and had fins instead of horns.

Their mother was nowhere to be seen, and eventually their father left as well, leaving the two to fend for themselves.

He knew few things, as he was young, but he was fully aware that in order to ensure survival, he had to learn, adapt, and gain knowledge on all situations, to protect his sister.
