Shortly after when Sithrol came of age, she had been chased out of her parents' territory and it had cemented her deep hatred towards growing close to others.

Her home had been safe from bigger predators and the food was plentiful and easy to hunt, but her siblings had issues with sharing. They had gone behind her back and cut deals with each other, choosing her as the weakest ans easiest to chase out. It cut Sithrol deep when she found out, watching each of them standing together against her.

It boiled down to more prey for them if she was gone, favoritism and by association their love from their parents who valued the ruthlessness of their brood.

The outcome hadn't surprised Sithrol, she had bit them just as frequently as they had bit her, but she had carried a sliver of hope that they wouldn't turn on her. That their years of hunting as a pack would keep her in their favour or at least have them chase her out with less claws and teeth involved.

Their parents never intervened when they started fighting even when it drew blood and tears; it was part of growing up, they told them, they had to learn to fend for themselves, that they couldn't rely on others to fight their battles for them. Not even family.

Sithrol knew better than to try going back; her parents would disown her on the spot for showing weakness in front of them, if her siblings didn't outright kill her on the spot. It made her bitter, hateful even towards the idea of family, and aware of being betrayed again.
