All biological beings have the ability to produce life, whether it's the bacteria that coats the stomach lining, the replication of cells, or even to make offspring. Creation itself is innate. It cannot be avoided, much like how the universe is never-ending. It always expands. It always creates. It's why Slither's origin could not be avoided; it too was fate.

Born from the geological samples collected on REDACTED that had been exposed to none other than REDACTED, Slither is, by all means, a living creature. He was deemed a walking bacteriophage (now neutralized after the REDACTED Incident) that gained sentience. He is currently in the process of learning Common Sornieth, and has named himself after the action he first remembers doing.
