Though her egg hatched deep underground, Eirwyn first opened her eyes to the sun.
A bright and beautiful vision, cascading her world in gold, as a hand extended from the blinding corona of this vision. Toward her. A golden, honeyed substance fell from its fingertips like condensed sunbeams, into her own eyes. And she knew only laughter.
Fae typically don't express themselves in the same way other dragon species do. Eirwyn's own biology betrays this, for her weak facial muscles and strong fins still follow those rules.
But for those who can hear her, deep within her mind, she is far more joyous. A giggly, bubbly sort, those who are just as gifted in telepathy as her claim she's living sunshine, cracking jokes at other dragons' expenses and proposing riddles nobody can hear or solve.
She prefers the entertainer's life. Telling stories and casting bright, colorful magic to embellish the tales of others. Her life is one spent traveling from place to place, always with different company, coordinating the light shows which they use in performance backdrop.
She wishes she could sing, too. But telepathy can only do so much, and the voice of her species is tone deaf by default.
