Arzi, the Frozen Warmother

A long time ago in The Fortress of Ends, the most distant and cold place in the entire Southern Icefield, a couple of Tundras lost their egg in the middle of a fierce snowstorm. They looked for it, day and night for many months.. but no sign of it.

At that same day, the lost Ice Egg went into the warm palms of a strange fluffy dragon that was looking at everything from afar. The dragon brought the egg into a tribe forgotten by the world for eons. The Gaoler tribe. At the moment the scout came back with a foreign egg, it was reprimanded by the Gaoler chief, but was still an innocent life brought to this world. So.. the chief decided to incubate the egg. After some days, it hatched into a female Tundra.

Sheltered by the Gaolers, she, now named Arzi, were introduced to the Gaoler's way of life. Had to learn to eat meat, even though her instincs told her not to. Had to learn to hunt, to share, to mince, to look for prey and the most important.. to live by herself. Why? Because the older she became, the most distant the tribe was. She just.. couldn't do it. Her Tundra body couldn't go along with the rest of the Gaolers.

Arzi knew that this happened because she was a foreigner. Devotee of the grand Icewarden, she could only pray for herself. To flee and get out of this hidden world or to stay and be eventually aside from everything. But.. how to choose? She was a Gaoler from inside: had friends, habits and home with them. But at the same time, her body told her otherwise: she didn't belong there, her true place wasn't there, nobody wanted her.

Led by this infinite cycle of sadness and despair, she gave in. On the top of the highest mountain she knew, she prayed for her afterlife. Until.. snowflocks? A strange snowstorm came, a chilling wind that froze everything aside of her.

Why are you here, my child? Despair? Did you gave in to it? No.. I have seen your life from afar. You aren't destined to perish here. You don't really want to.

Mesmerized by this chilly yet warm voice, she stopped her tracks. And tried to look behind her, to see who was the owner of that voice.

Don't need to turn, young Arzi. You know who I am. And.. I'm here to end this eternal nightmare you currently live in. But no need to be afraid, the world will know about them very soon..

After this, a strong light came from behind and envolved her. The delicate and fluffy body of hers changed. Giant horns came out, strong claws formed. When she opened her eyes and finally looked behind her, everything was gone, the storm, the chilling wind and... the Icewarden too.

Looking at a nearby ice mirror.. She saw her reflection, but couldn't believe it. The old her was gone as well.
