Sharp witted, sharp tongued, sharp fanged, and sharp claws, Captain Dee is not a woman to be messed with. She spends most of her time practicing and perfecting fighting techniques. On the rare times she's not fighting she's reading about it.

She's the kind of captian to rade a libary for the next book in the series, some may say hot headed but she gets what she wants when she wants it. She considers herslef hard working and tough.

Her crew considers her a little reckless and little cold, and a lot bossy. The kids on the crew know her to be mothering and sweet, they know she's the one to spoil them and they use that to their advantage.

Her first mate Greg wasn't the nicest. It was never that he was mean to her, only that he tried to hold her back, he clamed to protect her but she clamed he just wanted her to push out eggs and do nothing more. He's gone now.

Halfmoon is the only one she truly lets her guard down around, and how could she not? He's funny and kind and will jump into a dangerous situation with her, and help pull her out. She's not sure about love, but he's hers.

TO THE SEA

____Ever sense she was a hatchling she's known she wanted to fly to the sea. Her parents tried to warn her of the dangers the sea had and their fear of her falling off the edge of the world, but she just shrugged them off and vowed to find new land to explore and take over. Her and her siblings dreamed of going to the sea till one day they did. Dee edged them on and on, deeper into the water until some of her siblings didn't need to be edged on anymore. She kept going, deeper and deeper into the water, swimming hard and long. She swam for so long she thought the sea would take her as well, but eventually she reached land. The icy lands of The Southern Icefields loomed in front of her and she shook herself off, amazed by how far she'd come.

____Dee stumbled threw the next week, lost, alone, and confused. She didn't understand how she'd swam so far or why she was the only one of her siblings to made it. Where had they gone? Why did they leave her? She finally sat down to weep when the ice she was sitting on moved. She'd woken a gaoler, she stared amazed, before she thought she would have to fight. "Hush small one, I will not hurt you." The fluffy dragon said calmly and lead her to a den safe and warm...

THE SHIP

____The clan of Bylon was small, with only a few dragons hidden in an icy cave. Dee took shelter with them for as long as she could, but soon the need to go to the sea pulled her and she planned on leaving. Her plan involved leaving in the middle of the night and it saddened her. Her friends had other plans, and the clan got her a ship, made with wood from The Scarred Wasteland, the ship seemed to drip with blood, a few of her clan mates were already on board. She may have cried when she first saw it but no one will ever really know.

MY CAPTAIN

____Istas, the leader of the clan, and the gaoler that found Dee stepped up to lead the crew of misfits and rule breakers, knowing somehow that they were made to be pirates. But soon she grew tired, he ancient bones unused to travel and her heard longing for her home. She decided stepping down from being captain was the best thing she could do and named Dee her successor to no one's surprise or disappointment. Dee swore that she would only ever take orders from Istas herself if she ever woke and promptly sent her to hibernate in the lower holds of the ship.

GREG

____Her first mate, Greg, was a sunset, cinnamon, fire coatl. He was bright and hot and burned the way she did, but soon his mind went to softer things and while he grew up and grew out of his rambunctiousness Dee stayed the same. The had their fist nest but life on the high seas is no place for hatchings. Greg grew worried and tried to take them away, but Dee didn't want them to go. They were all lost to the sea. But the sea, yet again, didn't take Dee. She screamed for the sea to take her as it took them, but the sea has yet to answer her.

HALFMOON

____Halfmoon hatched and instantly felt lost. Nocturnes don't wake normally at this time, his parents seemed to be different but he was very sleepy. He flew away from his clan right into the post of Dee's ship, dropped like a stone and was out for about a full week. Unsure as to why Dee sat by him every day as she read, and when he woke was the first to help him. He followed her like a puppy and soon grew on her try as she might for him not to. He sleeps now, as their figure head, so she can always be near him.
