---
Sanguinar is an old dragon, and was once a clan leader. He lost his clan and his right eye in a battle that he expresses no desire to discuss. After being alone for so long, Sanguinar found Shard...or rather, she found him. The two dragons spent some time in a clan of Light dragons before they finally moved on. The golden marks on his body are a result of the time spent with the Light dragons.
Now they both reside in a volcano with a clan of Fire dragons. Sanguinar has worked tirelessly to convert the caustic environment into a place where all of the dragons from differing elements can coexist comfortably. By working together, the clan is able to maintain the lair and the peace they have established with each other.
Sanguinar spends much of his time now in quiet contemplation, but that doesn't stop the younger and scholarly dragons from seeking his council. Sanguinar acts as the clan's lead healer, and often accompanies Verdanta and her pack on hunts, if only to keep them safe. He will not see his clan lost again.
It was Scribe who brought it to his attention the possibility of something ancient dwelling within the heart of the volcano. Sanguinar urged him to forget the notion--he encouraged the clan to go about their regular routine and to forget the volcano's heart. Little did he know that it was only a matter of time before the Ancients would awaken on their own.
Upon seeing the Ancients, Sanguinar took on a fighting stance and used his immense size to try to intimidate them. His display of dominance was recognized as a means to protect the clan: intentions well-received by the guardian Arbalest. But the Ancients reclaimed their lair, and accepted the new clan as their own, and so now Sanguinar serves them.
Fuse is an all-work-no-play personality, though she does take an odd enjoyment out of shocking others. She can often be seen perching on Sanguinar's antlers--arms crossed and antennae twitching as she senses the electricity in the air in search of movement. She has a temper on a short fuse--prompting her name. Fuse is well-feared by the members of Clan Cineres due to the fact that her powers rival Sanguinar's.
