Something felt... off.
Tev ruminated to himself as he sat still and obedient at his station. The floor was stone. The walls were stone, but at least they had little crystals in them too. And the ceiling- Tev glanced upwards- yep, that's stone.
Every day was the same. Be in station, guard the hoard. Be in station, guard the hoard. Be in station-
Something clattered behind him. Tev whipped his head, heart skipping, talons ready-!
Wait, no. That's just Rosse. Nevermind.
Tev turned back around, trying not to sigh. Entum, the other gaoler guard, hadn't even moved a muscle, and he wondered if she even noticed (or cared, for that matter). With nothing to do, he let his mind wander once again.
Was it true that gaolers lived in the Fortress of Ends, protecting the world from Shade monsters and evil creatures? Was it true that his ancestors were huge and strong and ran across the ice to capture enemies? And... Was it true that they still exist today?
No, Tev reasoned, they couldn't. He may not have seen the world yet or even understand what's out there, but Nepetoideae told him that gaolers guard things, and so he and Entum were there to guard the clan's hoard.
That's sorta the same thing, right?
Tev stretched his body, gnarled talons scraping the ground. Maybe, he wondered, Maybe, if the Fortress is real, I can go there and run on the ice one day.

Next is Tev. He looks so cool, I actually had a dragon very similar to him a few years ago. That's probably why I like him so much, honestly. His colours match so well, antique was a really good base for the duller, less saturated reds.
His lore is very interesting, especially because it almost seems as if Nepetoideae is manipulating him in some way. Definitely an intriguing thought since Nep is the clan leader/founder. Not sure if I was supposed to take it that way, but your lore is fascinating ^^

@enomis Oh, I'm always a sucker for a good rusty color palette, and Tev's colors are so satisfying! Antique is such an ideal warm primary to match with the Maroon and Rust secondary and tertiary. The plague eyes even match!
His lore snippet is really intriguing as well. It's got a very effective hook to it and definitely leaves you with just enough mystery to leave you guessing without being frustrating.

Tev. Is. SO. Pretty! This is why I love treasure genes a lot more than gem genes. He’s relatively simple but also very pretty. I can definitely see that Tev is based on red velvet cake. You know, my grandma makes some REALLY GOOD cake, and he makes me want Thanksgiving to come sooner so I can eat her stuff again lol
