Mis was born in a high-end water clan, and is a gifted seer, with even more advanced visions than Leviathan. From a young age his parents pushed him to do magic lessons without a real input from him, but he enjoyed it so he didn’t really mind. He barely ever saw his parents though, since he spent most of his time near the spiral keep, training and training. He probably would’ve continued this for the eleven knows how long, but as they say, love conquers all. |

On a normal day for Mis, doing his usual spellwork and prediction, he saw Zhu. ...What was a wind Nocturne doing all the way down here? She was a strange sight indeed, almost enamoring. She gracefully glided through the water, using a magic bubble (courtesy of the Tidelord) to breathe. Already distracted from his work, he just had to talk to her. The nearly 19 year old Pearlcatcher, usually calm and collected, was suddenly very nervous. But he had to know her name. At least that. It turns out that Zhu was there on a diplomatic mission to arrange an alliance, but had gotten lost. She seemed pretty upset about it, after Mis inquired why she was down here. Something about being on the brink of losing her job, the normally patient listener had gotten lost in her eyes as she was speaking and stopped paying attention to what she was saying. Oh shoot. The best that Mis could do was offer to help her get home, and she accepted his help. He had said this before thinking about what his parents would say, but it didn’t really matter to him anymore. He was an adult, what say did they have? He wanted to come with her, to finally go somewhere other than the keep. Maybe.. maybe he could even stay. The fleeting thought scared him, but it also made him fully realize how sick he was of the routine he was forced into. And so he went. In case you were wondering, his parents barely ever talk to him, Their perfect child ruined. ‘What a shame’ they say, but Mis doesn’t care. Mis waited within the bamboo fronds for Zhu, and when she finally returned to him she was crying. Her usual calm, maybe even mysterious demeanor that he had gotten to know over their weeks of traveling was unraveling before him. He couldn’t do anything other than hold her in his arms and let her vent about what went on. She was kicked out after being deemed useless and a burden by the clan leader. The word ‘burden’ stuck out to him. She was anything but a burden, in his opinion. She was talented and intelligent, who would dare...? He vowed to stay with her, and so he did. Both in need of a new home, they traveled across the Windswept Plateau, getting to know eachother better along the way. They love each other, nothing needed to be said. They already knew. They purposely took their time, enjoying the sights that was wind territory. Mis had never been out of water territory, and though he loved it there, he was still enamored by the beauty of wind. They went in the general direction of the wind/water border, and they eventually ended up at the entrance to Slate’s clan, lured by the smell of things cooking and wind chimes, nearly getting lost in the bamboo along the way. It’s all mainly history from there, Slate welcomed the both of them with open arms, and he’s been living here for a while now. He’s taken on the role of the diplomat along with Zhu, accompanying Slate with clan-related affairs. When Euphoria was young, while digging out more rooms in the cave, accidentally opened a hole leading into water territory, far above the water. A little hole leading into a steep, watery mountain range where wind turns into water. This is Mis’ favorite spot to just sit and think. Its very relaxing. |
