Ember

Ember lived in a small cave with her partners Cinder and Ruby on the outskirts of the Emberglow Hearth. It was a day like any other; the sun was low in the sky, signifying that evening was near. The lava in the shallow pools near the den bubbled warmly as she made her way across the yard where she worked metal; it was her trade, carefully crafting plated armor and accessories for dragons, which she sold in a private shop.

She'd finished her most recent batch of shiny silver jewelry, which she was carrying back to the den to box away until the time came to head inland and make some sales, when something in the sky above caught her eye.

A small flight of dragons was heading south towards the nearby beach; they'd come from over the Tidelord's domain. As the dragons approached land, they began to descend, vanishing from sight as they fell below the horizon behind some plateaus.

Ember narrowed her eyes slightly; they hadn't had neighboring dragons in quite a while, and she wanted to keep it that way.

She turned away, heading quickly to her den to share the news with her partners.
