Biography

Sika, The Qo's first Warden and Overseer

Upon the awakening and re-emergence of the Gaoler, many of the Gaoler were dispatched to help the flights combat the Shade. The bigger clans, such as the Qo, were visited first. The large, imposing creatures were rather relieved to find Tundras have made themselves home within the Qo, whom not only braved the harsh hellscape of Plague, but also located their headquarters in a quarantine area. It was then, the Gaoler not only explained their purpose, but also implored the clan's leader to have a small handful of Gaoler to assist in containing the Shade on their territory. In return, they would provide the scrolls necessary and train the turned dragons.

At first, Michaelina had refused their offer, as polite as it was. However, the Imperial and leader of the Multigaze dragons in the clan, Dark, stepped forth. He convinced Michaelina to take their offer, as it would be good to have prison area in case of capture of enemy clans and just in case the Horrorbeasts were to arrive. The Imperial also advised the change to take place on hatchlings, as their minds were still fresh and would not suffer as much backlash. He then added that they would also imprint the job. Reluctantly, the Clan Leader agreed.

Dark then proceeded to mention a new Imperial had hatched with multiple eyes. The clan leader advised Dark the first Gaoler would be of their jointed control, as to not worry the other dragons. While the imperial was insulted their leader would implicate such a thing, he agreed that joint command of the prison would be best suited. Sika's parents agreed, although worried about Haku's blindness being hereditary, and implored for the two to check and see. The mystics and healers of the clan ensured that the young child was fine.

And so it began. The Gaoler Ambassadors were present for the change of the young child. They even gave the young one options as to what he looked like. (Although, to be fair, the Ice Dragons were ennerved with Plague's love for simply too many eyes. They understood why they would choose one of their own over one of the clan's ice dragons.)

As soon as he changed, Eira and Haku both blessed him and allowed him to go. The Gaoler both helped the other dragons of the clan create a massive underground prison, since the clan already had subterranean parts. Their best diggers and workers labored while the Gaoler trained Sika their ancient knowledge. By the time he had grown into an adult with a couple other of the young dragons, he was ready for the daunting task that was before him.

He learned from the Gaoler that baubles and other things were only distractions. Then they taught him the ability to work in a pack using mixtures of breath and physical prowess, ensuring that the other dragons would learn. The Qo was a melting pot of various cultures, and blended harmoniously with one another. While yes, there were occasional conflicts, nothing the Clan's leader or any appointed leader of the clan couldn't handle.

Sika became the first Overseer of the Qo, as well as Warden of their own prison. Which, quickly, expanded out from underneath the clan's territory and all throughout the undergrounds of the Wastelands themselves. They taught him how to hunt for the Shade using his nose, which was now an instinct programmed into his newly changed body.

He is still a very stoic individual with a diligence that rivals even most Imperials. Yet, he does still have a sense of humor. He also teases lightly he is 'half adopted, as he reluctantly accepts the Ice Warden as his adopted 'father' figure while he is blessed by the Plaguebringer. Even the gnarling horns around his form were odd for his species--But another Plaguetouch, as the Ancient Dragons referred to it.

His mate is an older female, whom traversed amongst the Gaoler Ambassadors while she was a hatchling. It was with their blessing, that she stays with the Qo, and her mate. Her name is Tori.
