Cryptid Origins:
Owlsbears are fearsome creatures, and despite their large size, they CAN fly. Not very well though. Narluga was getting frustrated about her arial inadequacies. She was also getting a bit bored with her life; stuck in a dungeon-like forest, tasked with attacking any adventurers that wandered by, getting sick of the drudgery of it all. At night her keen eyes would look to the skys, effortlessly tracking the dragons overhead as they flew to destinations unknow to her. They were so fast! So strong! It was the last adventure party she ever stalked that changed her course. As she crept closer, she could hear an unusually talkative Orc speculating on how best to accomplish the quest they were on. It hit her like light lightening, if that stupid beast could have a quest, could GO on a quest, why not her? She decided right then and there she was going to become a dragon, no matter what. She turned from the party and with a joyous hoot-roar ran off in the direction she always saw the dragons flying in.

Sculpin Narluga and Sculpin are both chaotic idiots, but Narluga has a bit more sense. She loves that Sculpin always has the next fun idea, and he loves that she'll stick with it until it's time for her to do damage control. If all else fails, she picks him up, puts him in her pocket, and RUNS. |
