Trovadora is not one to be late on a library book, nor is she very happy to raid libraries at all, books are sacred texts and should be kept that way. ("It was one time" "That's not the point Dee!") She keeps tract of everything, every coin spent, every nest hatched, every familiar gotten, every piece of food gathered and eaten, well you get the point. She's punctual and organised, and nothing ever get's past her. Ever.

So why is she following someone like Dee? Someone who's messy and loud and is more of a doer than a thinker? Well that's because, secretly, Trovadora loves that. She was one of the first dragons to suggest getting Dee a ship, and the first to offer to become part of the crew.

You would think for a water dragon Trovadora would enjoy the sea more, but she sees the sea as an excuse for other dragons to be messy and unkempt. Two things she prides herself on not being. But she can't sleep without the sound of waves gently hitting the boat, she adores the updraft of air by the cliffs they visit, and she loves being able to stretch her wings out and fly whenever the urge hits her. So all in all the sea isn't a bad place for a dragon like her. She likes the sea, she supposes, but it's the dragons on it that make it livable for her. She enjoys Dee's over the top personality, she enjoys Halfmoon's big heart, Wine's private passion, and of course the three people she loves most just happen to share a need to be on the open sea.

Trovadora was hatched in a water tribe, nestled in sea at the middle of the world. She, like her siblings, enjoyed the water, constantly diving in and catching fish, preening on rocks, sunbathing on land, eating plants on land, oh, Trovadora may have had a huge fear of the ocean as a child which is completely gone now. Completely. In her, totally vanquished, fear of water she left her home tribe and wandered for a long while. Eventually taking a boat ride out to the icelands.

Her fear of water, placated by the boat ride, made her even more scared of ice. Luckily Istas found her and took her in. Into a warm dry cave filled with others, like her. Dragons with their own quirks and slowly she got over her fear of water. Then Dee came along. Trovadora tried not to get swept up with Dee's constant excitement but Dee is a powerful force, and soon the two were inseparable. Dee would get into trouble and Trovadora would pull her out, it was a good system while it lasted, but soon Trovadora noticed that Dee wanted to leave. She talked to Istas about her fear of being left behind, and Istas suggested a ship.

They were about to set sail when Wine found them. He came from an ice clan farther south than their cave but he wanted to see the world, he was despret to go with them as soon as he saw their ship in the distance. The original dragons looked around and thought it over, but there wasn't much debate, which only Trovadora seemed to have a problem with. But as soon as Wine agreed to debate her on the importance of dental hygiene she knew they had made the right choice.
