Biography

Keilrii the Meek (needs Gembond)

Reigning God-Earthshaker

Region: Dragonhome - The Pillar of the World

The Earthshaker is a sturdy, rock solid dragon with a rough and rocky texture. His legs are thick and granite-caked. In place of wings and a tail juts large slabs of stone. He has small yellow ear fins, and a long beard of earthy roots.

The Earthshaker is described as a stone guardian. He is solemn and serious in demeanor, but appears to care for his fellow deities. He mourned their leaving after the shattering of the World Pillar. Addled by sorrow, the years passed him by, calcifying his body into a heap of boulders. He sought solidarity and unity once more, creating Snappers in his image.

Quotes- "As I listen in the dark, something stirs in the stone. I am no longer alone." and "We will be here when all else crumbles".

At one point the deities were going to have 'actual' names rather than the element-adjective names most have now. The Earthshaker's is theorized to have been Artaios.

The Earthshaker's official colors are Stone / Slate / Brown

Overview

-Wise, thoughtful dragons
-Originates from The Shattered Plain (A rocky, barren expanse of skittering stone and parched, packed dirt lined and featured with innumerable cracks. It is amongst the larger rocks that the dragons here choose to roost, away from the shards of dancing stone. The difficult labour required to dig and sustain a lair in the Plain is the worst of the area's challenges, however, making it an ideal training ground for those intending to carve a living in the more dangerous parts of ancient Dragonhome.)

Physical Attributes

-Built solidly and low to the ground
-Their impressive beaks are lined with molars that begin halfway down the jaw and continue all the way to the back.
-Well suited for the environment of their native homeland.
-Land-bound species, their thick, blunted nails enable them to break through the shale of the Shattered Plains to the shallow wells of water that can occasionally be found below the surface, making survival in this harsh land possible.

Social

-Nomadic, methodically following ancient, looping paths known only to their clan across the featureless plains
-Does not sleep and rarely stops moving
-Are living encyclopedias.
-Many become revered Scholars and Maesters.

Lairs

-Majority of their lives spent in travel
-Do not build permanent lairs
-Difficulty residing in closed spaces or living in small, restricted territories. (Claustrophobic)
-Do not do well in mixed-species groups
-Four times a year, (depending on the age and size of the dragon), a Snapper will create a shallow burrow and spend several days (molting). After emerging, they will pick up where they left off on their route. *molting-to cast or shed the feathers, skin, or the like, that will be replaced by a new growth.

Tactics

-Do not seek confrontation
-Standard tactics involve trampling smaller foes beneath their bulk or using their powerful jaws to snap them out of the air.
-The crushing force of their beak is enough to shatter the scales and armored plating of most species.
-Lower themselves to the ground, protecting their underbellies.
-Back and sides are protected by a thick, rugged hide that is difficult to pierce.
-It is difficult to move an entrenched Snapper with anything but an opposing elemental attack.
