Born into the clan, Zeromus is a docile nocturne, always making sure he is involved with the clan and provides for his clanmates whenever he can.
One day, as he and a few of the younger clanmates went out to hunt, they were cornered by a group of beasts. They had unknowingly stepped into a beast lair, and Zeromus took it upon himself to defend the young. Once Zeromus stepped in to face the beasts, they immediately froze in fear- one look at Zeromus' eyes and the beasts were paralyzed. They felt a stinging cold, and their resolve dissipated as they froze in place. Zeromus, despite unnerved by the whole experience, managed to escape with the younger clanmates.
