WHAT DOESN'T KILL ME BETTER START RUNNING

- former pit fighter, scarred from many fights to the death
- freed from the ring in a raid by Lockjaw and Snarl
- angry and defiant, wants revenge on his captors
- suspicious and paranoid by nature but fiercely protective of Lockjaw and Snarl (and by extension Aletheia, even if he mistrusts her at first). He loves his companions like brothers and sisters; truly they're the only family he's ever known
- His crests were cropped short in the ring; combined with his appearance he was given the nickname black dog (and sometimes, bad dog). It's not something he's fond of in the slightest; early on Snarl sometimes called him Dog which he responded to furiously, he's since grown more sensitive (as sensitive as Snarl can be about anyone)
- sometimes appears to be the dumb muscle of the group which isn't true at all, he just learned early on that speaking little and keeping one's secrets is often the safest course (compare to Snarl who's downright chatty, or Lockjaw who tends to speak up first in a situation). He can be quite cunning and is actually the most cautious of the pack: while he'd do anything for revenge hes too grateful for his newfound freedom to take it for granted, and doesn't want to throw his life away (in contrast Lockjaw is often hotheaded and eager to attack, and Snarl is just so convinced of his own power that he doesn't really fear anything). While he's the most able to punch through a problem given his strength, he'd rather find away around it
- while he initially mistrusted her, relates to Aletheia. She also often feel out of place, and different, and is quieter than Lockjaw and Snarl
- surprisingly soft spoken, although his snarl indicates otherwise
