Competitive dragons never stop comparing each other's abilities, be that sparring, the number of familiars or tongue-twister contests. While the latter are very popular at the Temple of Soul, Cess is aspiring to improve own speed so that he can easily beat all those Nocturnes and Spirals in each air race happenning regularly. Not to mention his refined muscles and strong wings trained daily, which already makes him incredibly fast, Cess is always looking for new ways and methods to better his performance. Be that shortcuts of the route or making his gear weighting less, he would try everything to decrease own time even by half a second. He's shamelessly using his element to enchant own body with Lightning magic so that it practically crackles and makes air around his ally.
Cess doesn't accept limitations, firmly believing that one may use all means availiable to win. If accused of cheating, he would just shrug and innocently ask why didn't his rivals prepare like he did. He doesn't mind if others try to win illegally, since it's up to him to figure out how to bypass that, and he often manages to. The only thing Cess will never forgive or accept is hurting others before or during the race: you may use all the reactive accelerators if you wish, but cursing the leader with a headache would make you Cess' mortal enemy, even if that helps him win.
