The most ruthless of creatures were those who climbed the ranks, and the closer one was to the top, the safer they became. At least, that is, until they reached the peak. The position of Boss had always inspired whispers of subterfuge and treachery. It was in that sweet spot between the lower, 'replaceable' ranks and the coveted position of leadership that Dorian had cut, and burned, and killed to obtain a place. His cold-hearted nature was merely another facet meant to protect him from those who would seek to send him plummeting back down into the common rabble. To be known as a creature worth fearing meant that those who vied for a similar height would often set their sights on an easier, softer target. Unfortunately, for countless ill-fated creatures, it was not enough to simply talk the talk. Dorian had walked that bloody path long enough that he'd worn a rut in the field, one so deep that those close to him feared the Fae-born might never be able to extract himself from it. |

| Though Dorian had spent his younger years working alone, fate saw fit to bestow upon him a partner. The demon, a vulgar creature by the name of Nathaniel, was unceremoniously thrust upon him by orders of the Boss himself. Polar opposites in personality, the two clashed horribly. Yet not even they could deny the power they brought to the battlefield once they took up a united front. Without Dorian there to stop it, Nathaniel's demonic strength would surely be his own undoing. Without Nathaniel's brawn, Dorian would surely meet his maker when magic and subterfuge failed him. This partnership would last until Dorian took his abrupt leave of the Organization as a whole. | xxxxxx |
