Beauty by day, hideous beast by night...

Or so Sweetpea would tell you...

You see, the truth is, Sweetpea isn't a nice dragon. She loved princesses and ponies and pink and all sorts as a child, dreaming of castles and servants upon servants and wealth and all sorts. Oh how much she wanted to dress up, look pretty, and be served.

And then she realised she could never have that.

But then she though she could.

And so, her hunger for power grew. Her magic was overwhelmingly strong, and with the help of her sister, She laid a reputation of a feared dictator.

Once on this search for power, she stumbled upon the Wilds of the tangled woods. She was not expecting a huge monster to match her strength, due to lack of experience in the territory. The result would have been in her favour however, the battle lasted long into the night. And at night, Sweetpea changes. A curse upon her changes her to a duller snapper, Sourpea, that she hates and considers hideous.

Unable to fight, she runs for her life, and if not for the nearby clan she would have been done for. They took the snapper in, who has a kind personality in very much contrast to her day persona. She doesn't get shown very much, due to the need for sleep and being overshadowed by her evil acts.

The clan loved Sourpea, and she loved them back. A balance had to be struck: in the day, Sweetpea travels to other places to continue her wrath, and by night, Sourpea stays by the clan. To the clan's knowledge, the grumpy quiet demeanour of Sweetpea is simply that Sourpea is not a morning person. She doesn't want them to know.

Yet, Sweetpea is beginning to get impatient, having so little time because of all the travel she does, despite the clan being a good base. And it won't be long before Sweetpea would be done in that area. Also, she hated them knowing about Sourpea, where she would ask her sister to lock her up at night before.

Sourpea wished she could stop her daytime persona, who she had all the memories of but no control over. She had considered staying up all night so that Sweetpea would be too tired to travel but... That risked her attitude to change from ignorance to murder on the whole clan.

If only true love's kiss could save her... But that wasn't easy with her, on top of the reputation of her daytime persona...

And Sweetpea was too hung up on finding her Prince Charming to get rid of her counterpart, which was easier said than done.
