"I'm here to make the journey easier, but never lighter. Who else will listen to my stories, otherwise?"
Matvei is tasked with taking dragons to serve the Earthshaker, and even though his job is plagued with many farewells, he has the lovely task of travelling the world, seeing where these dragons end up and exchanging their messages back to the lair and their parents.
Even though Matvei tries not to be sad about helping these dragons on their journey to serve their deity, it comes with a reassurance that they'll be amongst magic and brighter skies, and Matvei even helps them visit their home lair once more every other month of so.
The lantern he carries on his tail makes sure no evil can seek harm, and helps guide Matvei on the path with whoever he's with. He speaks many stories, many tales, and even though he repeats them often, the dragons he travels with on these voyages appreciate them all the same.
