Sandsnake

Even before he was born, Sandsnake was sought after. His birth clan was well known for their production of his colors and the sale of his siblings. After many days of waiting for a new home, though, Sandsnake bought his own freedom, leaving his home of the Lightning Farm. He wandered from deep in the heart of the Carrion Canyon to the outermost region of the Highland Scrub, and even crossed into the Sunbeam Ruin's edges and swam in the Sea of a Thousand Currents.

Though he was born shining and shimmering with iridescence, the harsh desert quickly beat it out of him. His once glistening scale cracked to reveal ripples and currents, a permanent reminder of his years in the desert. His gems stayed, though, steadfast and hard as rock.

This is how he came to Heimdall's clan. Scales crackling and rippling, a young dunhoof centaur limping after him. Heimdall quickly accepted the sand dweller - he had the matching colors, the gems, and he was much desired. Both dragon and familiar were healed back to perfection and given a permanent home. The sand imperial refused a proper name, however, and preferred to simply go by Sandsnake.

Often times mysterious Sandsnake can be seen staring off into the distance, but only ever in the direction of the Shifting Expanse. To help curb this wayward behavior, Heimdall outfitted the beast with a talonclasp pendant, a fiery jewel blazing within - to remind him he was now bound to the clan, body and soul.
