(Male)
Fleeting
Fleeting was huffing and puffing, plowing through the mud of the forest. He had grown tired of it all, every single time, it just kept going on! First, quicksand in the desert. Boy, that was a hard one to get out of! Then, he had to face Macrocosm, which was a frightening thought in and of itself, especially since it would be at her very core. Now, he had to get out of this never-ending forest using his magic that had been borne from that battle. The stupid Gods thought he would have unlocked it, but Nooooo! He's gotta keep going. Supposedly the longest one yet. Like he believed that.
The Gem Guardian buzzed around him, it's red face distracting the Nocturne from his journey. "Go 'way!" He yelled, swatting at the little creature. It refused, though, and just kept trying to bring him backwards.
"How am I supposed to get out with this damned buzzer right next to my ear?"He used his power, speeding through the dense trees to get away, and maybe even find an exit. It was all for naught though, as he recognized the clearing form before, the Guardian huffing, arms crossed in anger.
"Oh, come on, don't be like that! We're both stuck here, we can at least work together!" He called, speeding up to it, unfortunately matched in speed. He chased after it, unfortunately slamming into a tree as the Gem Guard laughed, floating right out. It's robes billowed, clapping it's tiny hands in amusement as the gem crackled at it's chest.
Suddenly he reached out, grabbing the damned crystal, resulting in a squeak from the startled familiar. It growled, tugging back, but Fleeting refused to let go. He span in circles, his anger reaching a new level, before he unleashed it, ripping back, taking the Guardian inside him as a gem grew in his forecrest, and he felt the energy spread.
Fleeting was connected to every living being, able to feel their life in his brain, as if a dozen different wires were attached to each one and he could feel them as they gave out. He looked around, noticing some were different to others. There was blue, purple, green, brown, red and more. There were also 4 Golden Strings, which he assumed was each of the Gods & Goddesses. He felt a tugging in his head, as if a guide were leading him, and he went backwards, speeding faster than he ever had before, as a trail of blue fire was left in his wake.
He suddenly burst free of the trees, staring in wonder behind him as it slowly fell to the trail he had left behind. His energy puttered out, as the last thing he saw was 4 heads staring down at him, conversing amongst themselves. A Lightning bolt flashed in the sky, ripping his familiar from him and the symbol for his Primordial, the Stormcatcher appeared above his head, his connection with the living beings never leaving him, shining strings staying in sight as he drifted off to the land of Dreams.
