______ What happens when a dragon is separated from it's element? Most say they die, for the magic that keeps them alive has left them. Death is almost always the case. Cold, final, and permanent. However, Nulis found a way to separate the soul from the elemental magic. He doesn't really remember how he did it, but it probably had something to do with the time spent in stasis. It was almost like death. Stagnant, stale air, and the sensation of floating in a dark cave. Who was he before all that happened? Who cares. He is just about as free of any element as he can be. In reality, he is closer to the Beast Clans then any of the elemental flights.

______ What an awful creature it was, that thing sliding through the swamp. All stinking of bog-rot and fish scales. What an awful thing, they sigh. Too bad, what a true tragedy. For deep between the moss rocked branches and fungus freckled roots lays a sorry sight. A bone yard of sorts; one wrapped with greedy vines. With dancers no longer dancing, and machines no longer humming. A few pelvises wink and grin at you while three rib cages point and chuckle. The knuckle bones are playing jacks, the spines are practicing ballet, all while the femurs stand guard. Their king watches you from his throne. One emaciated claw taps to the tune of his subjects.
