Lore:
Originally born as an Earth dragon, Varlon came to Shadow as a young hatchling. She hatched as a true-born trickster and didn't want to follow Earth's ways, thus she left her home in search for one in Shadow. The original leaders of the Nocturnae Clan took her in as one of their own and raised her under the ethics of Shadow. She always helped the two take care of the clan and as she grew, they became trustful of her. Once they made the choice to Exalt, they left her in charge of the clan.
As she took leadership of the clan, she took care of the young hatchlings and began looking for other dragons to help prepare them for Exalting. Though most dragons didn't approve of her taking charge, most warmed up to her after she began various projects to improve the lair. Over time, Varlon brought Inias home and began his training for leadership, should she ever have to leave. Now she spends her time making sure all is well in the clan. She makes rounds daily, checking on all the un-matched familiars, assigning daily chores, and at times battling in the Coliseum for supplies.
Under Varlon's leadership the clan has become much more wealthy and prosperous, earning treasure by training Exalts for service under the Deities. She is also known for starting the Ambassador Council, which allows hatchlings or any other dragons to learn more about the respective Ambassador's home Flight. She lets them practice their own beliefs in their own area of the lair in exchange that they help teach others. Varlon also established the Nocturnae Clan Council (NCC), where various appointed members of the clan will meet and speak about various goals and plans for the upcoming weeks. As Matriarch, she has a position on the NCC and listens in on concerns and other topics that come to the council.

Personality/Quirks:
As the Matriarch, Varlon tries her hardest to lead the clan without problems. Most of the treasure that is spent goes towards things that other dragons need and/or want instead of items for her. Though the Patriarch of the clan has a known crush towards her, she gets quite uncomfortable on the subject of love. She would much rather pay attention to all of her clan than one specific dragon, thus she refuses to admit any love towards anyone else. Although she doesn't openly admit love for anyone, she does have certain dragons that she would prefer to be around and will often enjoy spending time with. She keeps to herself often, but can also be very open when it comes to her own opinions or enforcing rules.

Shadow Sprite:
Her Shadow Sprite is named Skia and is also a female. She helps Varlon with tasks such as writing. When making records or writing schedules, Varlon will tell Skia what to write and Skia will copy it down. Skia also helps transfer information between the other dragons of the lair. She's quite quiet and usually only speaks to Varlon or Inias.

Trivia

Varlon wishes to become allies with the beastclan's that reside in Shadow, believing they would be powerful to have in battle. She would like to contact them, however the other's in the lair do not share her opinion.
