PROTOTYPE

Warfare. Famine. Pestilence. Murder. And those are just some of the woes the ‘good dragons’ have visited upon the land. After the near annihilation of dragonkind through its own stupidity, a small group of independent scientists decided that there needs to be a balance; a buffer. Good and evil do not exist as an absolute. The land of Sornieth is a serial killer. Dragons struggle against Sornieth itself all the time. So, what if the dragonkind provided Sornieth with an outlet, a prototype, if you will, to fix that power imbalance? A being created with the sole purpose of creating trouble, a force to focus and unite all of Sornieth in order to avoid extinction. A being so incalculably evil, so amoral and merciless, that the Shade itself hides when this being walks the land, planning, waiting, watching. Striking. The scientists would of course, control and modify their creation to keep it from running amok. But... what if those scientists lost control of the prototype? What if the prototype... killed them all? What will happen then with no controls and limits on the prototype?
