LORE WIP
- Once leader of his own clan - small, and mostly consisted of himself and... girls who had a crush on him when they were adolescents together. (They pretty much got over it by the time that everybody went on the move.) They quickly realized that they weren't much of a clan per se with their size and structure, and acted as a band of mercenaries instead. In this manner, they rose to notoriety - they were practically the real bosses of a certain chunk of the territory around the Scarred Wasteland; if you don't got (MERC BAND NAME) on your side, you get a whoopin'!
- But, well, all good things come to an end - another local merc band rose to prominence in their enclave and a couple of Brightly's band died over the course of a couple of clashes when they were pitted against each other. This dispirited the others and crushed the feeling of high-riding invincibility among them - they started to break up, with his old pals finding new clans to settle with, taking on new jobs that allowed them to McFreakin' Relax, etc.
- Disgraced and depressed by losing everything he had worked for, Brightly lowered his head and retreated into the bushes 'n brambles of the Tangled Wood, continuing to ply his services as a mercenary or guard-for-hire - he wound up staying with (CLAN NAME) for the company and the wines in the Gambler's Den, and for a new friend in fellow veteran fighter Velvet. If you ask him, he'll tell you he considers himself more of an "ally" or "affiliate" of (CLAN NAME) than a member... but pff, he knows in his heart he's not going anywhere anytime soon.
