Aquila sat sequestered away from the edge of Mistwood, a good distance out from the clearing. Here he had set up a small garden to tend, with herbs and plants for herbal remedies, some used for aches and pains, some for assisting Nariene to reach her gift of Sight, and some for tea. The reason for the plot’s peculiar location was that many of these plants are deadly if ingested without proper preparation, and the risk of hatchlings attempting to eat them was great. Ewei only has two eyes after all. Here he loitered just a bit longer to see if his gardening guest would appear, the strange, small dragon that shares his love of tending to plants. Eider was interesting in the fact that he could hold a full conversation with him in his home tongue- the language of Coatls is difficult to teach, and he still struggles keeping up with conversations held in different dialects. His knowledge of the other dragon is slight, knowing only that he was around for the dawn of many species, he has a propensity for planting, and that the secret of his existence must be kept on pain of death. His mate was not yet trusting of those who live in Mistwood, but he has not had a new conversation since the Pillar went up. As the Coatl finishes that thought, he hears the familiar rustle of many small wings in the distance.
