Saisho was hatched in the shifting expanse after his egg, which had been deemed infertile and abandoned in the desert for wild animals, was struck by lightning. He knew not who his parents were, nor who he was, only that he was alive, and determined to keep it that way. Luckily for him, he was picked up by a lone tundra, and she brought him with her on her travels for a short time.

Saisho was given his name by this tundra, and she taught him much before they parted ways. He put his new skills to use hunting down remnants of the shade, and doing scattered bounty hunter work. Some time later, after he'd been on his own for years, he stumbled across a young hatchling who appeared to be alone, and on the run.
