"Why must you always contradict me? I don't have to be right, but must you make me feel so wrong?" Approaching feet thundered outside of a shabby, overgrown cave where the prickle of shrubbery acted as a hidden door.
"Listen to you, Lipsy! I might not be a sciency type, but I know that can't be how it works! And now you can't face it and --ow!" The Ridgeback smacked xemself on the cave roof, which got him every time he tried to leave the Snapper's lab. Next time the Snapper visited xim, xe was going to give her the opposite problem. Perhaps a place with too many stairs at the door would suffice.
"It's ok to be wrong, because that's how we learn. You riley rat tail." Huffing with spite, the Snapper spat onto the grass and sauntered off, leaving the Ridgeback behind to blow off the steam pouring out of his ears.
That being said, perhaps sometimes being wrong in this scenario was more bad than good.
The Ridgeback wheezed as smoke billowed out of the cave, soot covering xer face. Likewise, Lipsy shared the error of her ways all over her soot covered body. A science experiment gone horribly awry, where a lava beetle was trapped into a container of helium, forcing the little critter to push open the container's lid and spurt flames across various heat-sensitive substances.
Even with all his frustration, Lipsy groaned and headbutted the nearest tree. "Agh...I messed up bad." Better safety precautions were needed, or else they may not see another tomorrow.
