Moth was a foundling of the Wayfinder clan, before the Wayfinders were even established. Rain and Snowstripe adopted her soon after they made a home of the Riddleways, but before they truly understood what it was they had found. Spending time in those twisting passages as a growing dragon affected Moth in ways the clan founders couldn't have predicted. She told stories, but instead of childish babbling it was from the perspective of someone recalling a memory. When she played she exhibited a sureness and maturity that should not have graced her for decades more.

One day, Moth wandered deep into the Riddleways and didn't return for a week. When she finally emerged she was physically aged and spoke with wisdom beyond her years. She had found an archive, she said.

Snowstripe understood that Moth had been chosen by something, though he wasn't sure by what. From then on Moth acted as librarian and archivist for the Wayfinder clan, caring for the living memories and mnemonic spirits that await dragons willing to host them. Though Snowstripe suspects that more than one story lives inside his adopted daughter, he's content knowing that she's not being harmed or subjected to any form of control. The Wayfinder clan makes good use of her talent for extracting living stories from the artifacts, and the Archive spirit itself seems satiated with the offerings.
