Biography
Overseer
Speranza was brought to the clan by Naomi the clan leader as he searched for methods of protecting the clan from the plague that has been thriving within the land draining the plants of their strength and life. Speranza lived with his mate Nadia in hiding, disguised as Coatls waiting for the day when they could reveal their presence, the day the Wardens had reestablished the seekers. Now apart of the Solar Cell clan and the Gaoler secret revealed to the Soreinth, Speranza and the other Gaolers invited to the clan now take up an active role to protect those in the hibernal lair.
Speranza is in charge of monitoring the activity within the lair itself and to make sure that no unwanted creature sneaks its way into the lair and trapping any creature that might. While the Luna Lyncanons help protect the lair through their patrols around the actual clan, Speranza and them will meet up to take about and creatures have been sneaking around the less populated grounds. When an enemy is found sneaking around the lair, Speranza uses his special powers to seal up the clan and trap the foe. Speranza's special power is that he can create ice pillars within several meters around him off of the ground. The ice magic trails from his shardflanks crystals onto the surfaces he designates in which then ice pillars will grow and rise until they surround the area, engulfing it completely. Not only does Speranza protect the lair from intruders getting in, but is also responsible for keeping any dragons not allowed out inside. There are designated hours in which the clan can move freely about but for their own protection against the jacklevine, are supposed to return by the curfew of nightfall back to the den to rest. Speranza at this time is responsible for keeping track of who escapes and reporting to Nadia to have her send a Gaoler or luna lycanon out to retrieve any who are missing. Many of these dragons who try to sneak out are the restless shadow dragons who don't sleep well at night to the Tricksters who never truly rest (usually because they want to set up pranks bright and early). In response, Speranza will create ice pillars blocking corridors so that dragons sneaking out have to suck it up and go to sleep.
Recently, Artemis, Equinox, and Solstice will host star shows for these dragons and others interested and are given permission to set up at the den's entrance and run a series of mirrors down through the corridors to a finally huge mirror(essentially turning the corridors into giant telescopes that act as the best night light for any sleeping dragons. Here more from the Earth and Banescale dragons that carved out the huge tunnels(we had to fit imperials) for the clan since they were also the ones who designed nooks and crannies to hold these mirrors. So when we say these tunnels are big enough to hold imperial sized dragons, you can get a picture of how big and wide the crystals Speranza makes are to block off these corridors. Even the smallest crack could let out a Fae or Veilspun so Speranza fills it completely. As for those required to get rid of the ice usually would be the water and the lone Fire dragon Rudolf. Though he covers corridors in ice, he never uses it down in the resting areas as the dragons would prefer to stay warm. Out of the entire clan only Rudolf would manage to break out of these ice crystals so Speranza keeps track of who is making deals with him to sneak out. Occasionally though, Speranza does spot him trying to sneak out but pretends he is as big as an imperial and that he can't fit through the hole he can obviously fit through. Speranza pays the Nocturne-who-thinks-they-are-an-imperial no heed during these times as he most likely will be there still when he laps around. Quite the strange Nocturne.
