Biography

NOT FOR SALE, TRADE, OR LENDING

"No, I'm not a vampire! Where on earth did you get that idea?! Also has anyone seen my son"

Initially trained as a physician, Vincent soon grew curious about how magic affected dragons' physiology and vice-versa. He completed his studies with only middling grades (much to his family's chagrin) and then set out on an entirely different career: the study of Ancient dragons. In those days, the Ancients were regarded solely as legends, and Vincent traveled all over Sornieth with other scholars, seeking information and evidence that they existed.

When the Gaolers made themselves known to the rest of Sornieth, Vincent was one of the scholars consulted by various clans, including the Disillusionists. Their Ice Representative, Hiveriel, was eager to make contact with his Ancient cousins, and Vincent gave him advice, such as where Gaolers would most likely be found and how the Disillusionists could approach them.

Hiveriel's mission was not really successful. They found that the Gaolers had abandoned their enclave...including a nest of eggs, all but one of which had perished. Unable to find the Gaolers, the Disillusionists took the egg back to their lair and contacted Vincent for further advice. It was while studying the egg that Vincent accidentally hatched it. The Gaoler hatchling imprinted upon him, recognizing him as its father, and while Vincent initially thought of him as a study subject, in time he grew genuinely fond of the child.

Vincent soon abandoned his itinerant lifestyle. He settled in the Disillusionists' lair to raise his son and remains there today, acting as both a student and a consultant on Ancients. He occasionally assists the medical team as well.

Due to his appearance and the way he dresses, he is frequently mistaken for a warlock, vampire, or a cultist. He can often be seen ambling around the lair on errands or grumbling about his son's behavior.
