Biography
An old veteran dragon, Pridian is battlescarred - both in body and mind. He has lost many things in his lifetime, including his own charge, and his experiences have left him slightly pessimistic and ornery. He generally keeps to himself in Flowerfern - aside from when he leads patrols to keep the clan safe, or when he's helping haul heavy objects - and spends his days either training, reading, or occasionally drinking.
Some of the other dragons worry that his habits are bordering on unhealthy - and in a way, they are. His actual sense of self worth is rather poor, basing his own esteem on how much use he is to those he trusts - which of those dragons, are of a handful of the clan, and very few outside said clan. Xena and her family, Ivy, Lotus, Fain, and Petalwing are the ones that stand out to him most within Flowerfern - though outside, he has recently taken to sending letters to a coatl from afar.
He doesn't talk about this coatl much, besides that they at work a bar in a distant town, on the border of the Tangled Woods, and the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Despite the lack of details though, he seems relatively fond of them, and will occasionaly make excursions down there when he needs some time away from the clan.
As a veteran, Pridian is skilled at combat - and specializes in attacking foes head-on with his claws and fangs, not having much time for magic or stealth. Between his sheer size and the armor he wears, he is a juggernaut - hitting hard and taking hits well, but being a little bit on the slow side. Additionally, he tends to get a bit of tunnel-vision when he (inevitably) flies into a rage - tending to focus on the source of his anger unless someone else enrages him enough.
Interestingly enough, however, his scales are electrified - something that he developed over time as he got older... He has limited control over it - being able to decrease or increase the amount of electricity flowing thru his scales, but at the lowest, he still leaks static that - while harmless - still stings a bit to be shocked by. Additionally, if he tries to maintain a high level of electricity for too long, he'll burn himself out - oftentimes injuring himself and leaving him at static levels of electricity until he can recover.
As a result, however - metal weapons and direct attacks oftentimes result in the attacker being shocked - and sometimes even metal-wearing dragons will be zapped if they get too close to him. The best way to fight him with this in mind, is to either keep your distance and fire on him with arrows or magic - or, if you're able to insulate yourself or resist the electricity, to be quick and fast and employ guerilla tactics.
