"Even a clan that operates under stealth should have clearly marked safety regulations. How else can order in the ranks be achieved?"

Tidus was introduced to the Hollow Shroud in an unusual manner. He happened to be too close to clan grounds and was ambushed by a pair of spiral scouts. They intended on simply intimidating him to drive him away, but were caught off guard by the dragon's sudden rant about how there were no markings declaring their land. Confused, the spirals allowed Tidus to meet with Mother Shadowrin. The bogsneak was amused by the ridgeback's desire to help the clan, despite his introduction, and welcomed him into the Shroud.

Since his introduction, Tidus has made sweeping progress over clan lands. He reluctantly had to compromise over lighting (with many of the new Shrouded hatchlings being too sensitive to regular fire) and asked for rings of glowing mushrooms to be planted around nests and to light the common chambers the dragons shared. He has helped the dragons develop armor that is both stealthy and safe, organized the food storage, and helped train some of the initiates in regulatory work. His main project has been the clan labs, run by the mischievous nocturne Kat. Even after days and weeks of observation, Tidus has not been able to figure out exactly how the small dragon is breaking the new guidelines, but is determined to bring the matter forth to Mother Shadowrin as soon as he does.
