An unusual case to be sure, but with a reletively mundane history. Riding the tailcoats of his mothers' modicum of fame, he wormed his way into the good graces of the Astramor Imperial House at a young age, showing off his prowess with invention and passion for learning. Already quite interested in the subject, he was put to use researching ancient technological artifacts, leftovers from the era before the gods abandoned Astramor.

Yahev's research into the history of Astramor and the Ides itself was not widely known, and it came as a surprise to him when his palace research lab was broken into by a handful of extremely dedicated youths aiming to ressurect the Ides. Naturally, he couldn't very well let them waltz off with his most prized artifact, let alone allow them to commit this arguable atrocity of nature without him. They were nearly as surprised as he had been when they found out the object they were stealing came with a diminuative companion.
