Biography
As you wander into a grove of bamboo trees, you spot a small egg nestled in the grass. The breeze sings softly in the trees, and the egg rustles gently as a sparrow tweets overhead. The spot is peaceful, more so than the wind-whipped grassy plains that spread across the center of the plateau. Nobody is around- the nest appears to be abandoned.
What do you do?

ANATOLI and VERA
Gardener and Hatchling Caretaker(s)
A bedraggled-looking raptorik smooths down her feathers as she tiredly runs a brush through the mane of the baby pearlcatcher in front of her. "Sit still," the feathered caretaker reminded her, with a harsh yet gentle chirp. "You don't want auntie Vera pecking your eye out, do you?" The hatchling giggles, completely unperturbed. "I wanna be like you someday!" "Mhm?" she responds. "Sure you do."
Vera was found injured out on the Thunderhead Savanna. Gladly accepting the help of the group of fighters that had discovered her, she was taken back to the Outpost, where it was discovered that her clan had long been allies with dragons hoping to cross the Savanna, working as guides and emissaries. Originally, they had hoped that she might be able to do the same after she recovered, though this hope died when they learned that one of her wings was broken and now completely unusable. Yunwin recognized her robes as being those of a herder, and decided- in a moment of brilliant logic- that "oh, you can heard prey? what about... babies" and she just kind of shrugged and agreed. Surely, dragon hatchlings weren't too different from raptorik children... right?
Yeah, but raptorik hatchlings aren't twice your size and don't have temper tantrums destructive enough to break all the bones in your body. She learns this the hard way.
Anatoli is just a sweetheart. Baby or adult, she's gentle, exciteable, and even somewhat naive, taking care of others- especially hatchlings. She's her more grumpy coworker's counterpart. Unlike many pearlcatchers, she's playful, shameless, and eager to please, though the lack of sleep gets to her too sometimes... Though she's often put in charge of babysitting hatchlings, she also attends to the clan's gardens, particularly a small- but delightful- orchard that grows the produce for the clan's seaberry and fig wines, as well as a few beehives. She grows quite a few spices as well, and is a delightful cook.
needs: firefly (permababy too?)
local tired raptorik herder mom no longer herds prey. they herd overexcited hatchlings all day
