THE WATERFALL

Once upon a time, Quikoi was little more than a koi fish. For years she swam against the current of a mighty river with her school, and they all grew stronger for it. One day, they came the rivers end, which was supplied by a massive waterfall.

Many of the koi turned back, and let the river carry them away, but a few remained. They wanted to reach the top of the waterfall, and began to throw themselves against it, over and over again, but to no avail.

One by one they all gave up and turned back. But Quikoi never gave up, and eventually made it to the top after struggling for a year and a day. Recognizing her perseverance and determination, the Windsinger turned her into a dragon as reward.
(Based upon real koi fish legends; it’s pretty cool actually)
