Your introduction to this world is one of pain and resistance.

You once soared on the winds in the fair skies, leaving glimmering trails in your wake and capturing the awe of those looking on below. You twisted and turned and danced across a canvas of sapphire and diamond, making the very realm of the Heavens of your stage.

And then the skies began to clot, the serene blue of sunny days became bruised and corroded ; your dance, forever interrupted, became a frantic attempt to flee the inky darkness that claimed the sky.
You weren't fast enough.

You were seized by the Scourge, thrust to the grounds below and pummeled into the murky depths below. When the pain became too much, you closed your eyes and gave up.

And then you heard a voice, felt a warm hand wrap around you and pull from the wreckage.

You recognized that touch ; you felt it when you fell from the sky.
