Gila never felt like she belonged in the Starfall Isles, what with their bright swirling lights and blinding pink crystals. No, she belonged in the Tangled Wood, with all the cool Shadow dragons. It was dark, ghoulish and full of creepy creatures.

In other words, it was perfect.

But not every other dragon saw it that way. In fact, the other Arcane dragons would laugh at her and beat her up whenever she told them that. “Why would you even want to go to that place anyway?” They would snort. Gila would reply, “It’s dark and empty. Just like my soul.” And then the other dragons would proceed to beat her up some more.

Until one day, Gila decided to strike out on her own and journey to the Tangled Wood herself. Unfortunately, most of the Shadow Dragons weren’t exactly keen on accepting dragons from other flights, and Gila found herself mocked and rejected once again.

Dejected, Gila stumbled upon Piper and Claire having a tea party. The two complimented Gila’s creepy look, and invited her to join in their party. While Gila was initially reluctant, she was touched by their willingness to accept her and joined them in their fun. Having finally found a place where she truly belonged, Gila became a part of their clan.

Now, Gila stands with Piper and Claire as one of the three founders of The Leaf Litter, and with them, she watches over the various dragons in their clan.
