She first woke in the shattered remains of the nymph that had borne her. The demon shook her head and croaked in hunger as she woke. Limbs clumsy with unfamiliarity dragged her out of the tree. HUNGER. An ancient hunger licked her bones and consumed her mind. Name...her name. Jengaura. The demon stumbled over the roots, searching for a meal. Chirping. Jengaura's head swung around, hearing the frightened chirping of an abandoned nest. The clutch of nymphs shrank back from the massive form before their chirping was eternally silenced.

It took a month for the demon to remember her strength. Wings heavy with blood failed her, and Jengaura fell, spiraling from the sky. Her fear consumed her, and she consumed the blood trailing around her. Filled with a new strength, Jengaura soared above her domain. Now she could travel. The demon landed in the clearing where the ancient oak stood. Twisted and sick, sap oozing from its knots, crying in a language unheard by the creatures of this land. Jengaura uprooted the tree and devoured the magic within. POWER. Strength flooded her body. The sky brightened and the hunger receded for a moment. She roared, triumphant, before leaping to the sky and leaving the ruined land. She would find a new home, a new magic, a new meal. Perhaps one to bear new demons with her. One to create a new line in these lands. 		Jasper
