Yozakura

Yozakura grew up in the deepest reaches of the Foxfire Bramble. She hatched alone, not knowing who her parents nor why they weren't there to care for her.

It was a difficult existence. The Clans of the Bramble aren't particularly welcoming in nature, and though some of them gave her some food or let her rest the night, none of them allowed her to stay.

It didn't matter what she tried; how well she learned Draconic, or Coatl, how polite her words were, how pretty she was, how skilled she was, how well she kept her promises, how strong she was. No matter what she tried, she was never allowed to just... stay.

Certainly, the better she got the more polite the refusals were, but they were still refusals. She just wanted what they had, what she had never been allowed - a home, a family, a community.

Somewhere to belong.

Sometimes, she encountered others like herself: drifters, lost in the Bramble.

Sometimes just literally lost - those were easy. Those, she guided where they needed to go until they weren't lost anymore, happy to have helped, devastated to see them go.

Others... others were more lost like her. Lost in themselves, lost among others, so they wandered the Bramble in search of something. Those were harder. It hurt Yozakura every time she couldn't help, but she still tried. A kind word, a helping hand... she knew how much she herself appreciated those, so she did everything in her power to give them to others, hoping that someday someone would reach back.

Trivia
  • Yozakura is: Polite, Honourable, Wordy, Stubborn, Anxious, Kind.
  • Enjoys all pretty things and all pretty dragons.
  • She's better at fighting in cramped spaces and on the ground than in the air, having not had much room for flight in the Tangled Woods.
  • Unexpectedly sneaky, considering her bright colours and love of talking. Can move entirely silently and so smoothly you won't even notice she's right in front of you.
  • She has excellent night vision supplemented by exceptional hearing, but bright daylight hurts her eyes.
  • Really likes all sorts of word games, and will sometimes decide to spend an entire day only speaking alliteratively or in rhyme.
