❝ i want you to follow me down to the bottom underneath the insane asylum ┄┄ ❞ xxxxxpower is the only thing that matters. you are defined by numbers and your achievements. that is ásvaldr's mindset. to him, sentimentality is weak. any display of emotion can block your path to absolute power. alongside his megalomania, ásvaldr is incredibly calm and strategic, but very insensitive. he won't even pretend to be nice. when you've had to fight your two brothers to become the head of the household all your life, you learn to be ruthless. xxxxxásvaldr yoxius elwyn's parents were blessed with three boys with the same heart. or rather, lack thereof. coming from a long line of necromancers, ásvaldr's life was made into a long competition for inheritance. it is in the blood of the elwyn line to care for nothing but power and that is written into who they end up marrying. elwyns marry, promising their spouses a fair share of the power they gain, but never keep those promises. so when ásvaldr married a cynic in disguise as an angel, caesin, he was all set. the fact is, caesin didn't care even a bit for ásvaldr, which he was completely fine with. regardless, they raised a son, terrance, together, who wound up being forgotten by the time he was eighteen. in terms of necromancy, ásvaldr was the best people knew. xxxxxásvaldr is strategic. he does not care for playing fair, especially when there is power and wealth on the line. |

ＮＥＣＲＯＭＡＮＣＥＲ ＡＰＰＥＡＲＡＮＣＥ being a necromancer is all about the getup, but the elwyns specifically are very sensitive about gender identity, particularly the men. it's rare for elwyn men to wear their hair long, or have facial markings as they consider it to be "make up". the only exception to the facial marking rule would be scars that have been obtained during battle or work. like most on masdurett, necromancers dress medievally, wearing leather tunics and robes, and sometimes different armours if necessary. many necromancers wear tactical belts that carry vials of poisons and strong acids, and blunt-force weapons. necromancers are typically not sword-wielders, but the rare weapon- smith will carry a sheathed blade. heteronormativity is the norm in the elwyn necromancer clan. men will cut their hair short with some exceptions whilst women will keep their hair in a singular braid, or hidden beneath a hood or cloak. |
