Bastian
Mage / Warlock

As the second offspring and first son of Thames and Zayin - both strong mages -, Bastian expected to inherit the same strong magic as his older sister. However, his magic is significantly weaker than her. That comes from his inability to properly control it. His bad temper keeps him from achieving harmony with his magic. Because of his unstable magic, he can't keep his human form for long periods at the time.

Bastian's magic is unstable, and thus appears somewhat weak. However, he is determined to keep improving himself. What he really needs is tranquility. He finds peace in great open fields where he can see the sky. Soft grass under his feet calms him down. He is raised to believe that all life is precious and valuable, and he will never hurt anyone - on purpose.

His temper is born from insecurities about himself and his place in the world. Because he is almost identical to his father (in dragon form), he doesn't feel as 'special' as his sister. Him not being able to fully control his magic only makes things worse - so it's a vicious cycle. However, if he learns to find inner peace, he has the potential to become a great warlock, just like his father.

Trivia:

X Even though Bastian was born into the Nature Flight, the uneasiness that stirs in him comes from his father, who belongs to the Fire Flight. Bastian doesn't feel fully at home in the Nature Flight, but he hopes he will grow into it.

X When Bastian does have control over his magic, he likes to create birds, just like his sister. However, unlike her, he's not able to create exotic birds. He often creates crows, even when he is attempting to conjure forth parrots.

X He is supposed to have inherited his parent's ability to strengthen the magic of the clan he lives in - but until he is able to control his magic, this won't be possible. He has to be careful to not accidentally hurt anyone instead.

X His biggest fear is somehow harming someone or something with his magic by accident.

X His ideal mate would be someone who gives him peace. Someone who encourages him to just be himself, and not necessarily live up to what he is ' supposed ' to do.
