Biography
lone wolf | traveler | defensive
Twin sister of Moth, she has been haunted by nightmares throughout her life. Wanders the world alone only occasionally contacting her brother.
“Are you sure you’ll be fine on your own?” Moth asked.
“Of course I will. You know me,” Kaj reassured him, “I’m far more worried about how you’re gonna do. That Dreamspace Research place still sounds a bit shady. Don’t be afraid to leave if it’s too much for you.”
Moth sighed, “DreamSCAPE, and it’s FAR from shady. Besides, I’m in this to help you and everyone like you. I can’t stand here and do nothing while you suffer these horrible nightmares.”
Kaj paused for a minute. Of course that’s why he’s joining this organization. He’d always wanted to free her from her night terrors, ever since they were just hatchlings. She should have known what he was up to when he first mentioned the DSRF and its founder.

It had been a few days before when Moth casually mentioned a foundation of researchers studying dreams. There was an unmistakable glint of excitement in his eyes as he calmly talked about their work. He had already deciding on working there and was learning everything he could before leaving.
He had been in the middle of packing when Kaj broke the news about her own plans. She wanted to travel the world, alone as a nomad. Maybe if she saw all the sights she could see, never resting in one place for too long, that would end her nightmares or at least put her at ease somehow. It would be a worthwhile journey, she thought. She preferred to be on her own anyway.
Moth couldn’t say he didn’t see it coming, but he never expected the both of them to leave at the same time. “Guess we both have our own paths in life, huh” he mused out loud.
“Guess we do,” Kaj responded, “but that dream place of yours could easily be far from trustworthy. This Outlaw guy may be an accredited scientist but that doesn’t mean he can control everything that happens under his watch. There could be dark secrets hidden deep within those walls.”
“I’m sure there’s nothing creepy going on. Even if there was Outlaw certainly wouldn’t allow it. Dreams hold far more potential than anyone can realize, not all of it has to be evil. I’m going no matter what you say,” Moth said.
It was almost surprising seeing him so stubborn and determined to do something. He always was a bit more gentle and passive, preferring to go with the flow unless it made him too anxious. Kaj hoped he was right, for his own sake. She didn’t know how he would handle it otherwise.

Kaj turned to face her brother, “I’ll stay in touch. Hopefully you’ll be hearing from me within the next week or so.”
“Looking forward to it! Is there any way I’d be able to contact you? It’s not like I’ll know where you’ll be from now on.”
Kaj laughed, “oh trust me, I know you’ll find a way. After all, I’m not about to just vanish off the face of Sornieth. Just send it out to me, I’ll get it in time.”
With that, she threw the last of her belongings into a bag. She double checked everything and started to head off.
“Please stay safe out there!” Moth yelled.
“Yeah, yeah, you stay safe too,” and with that, Kaj left, wandering off to wherever the roads will take her.
