Biography
SALLONDON • The overseer of this machine and its functions and its endeavors, Sallondon is a dragon who constantly emits the feeling of alarms going off, with his generally poisonous personality. He's constantly fronting a batty, loud, saccharine, cheerful demeanor. He's mad, wholeheartedly mad, flitting about the chambers of the machine and quipping in mellow, gruesome support over his employees' heads like it's a casual day at the park. His voice cuts through the air like an emergency siren. No one knows what his true intentions are but everybody knows that they are sinister. Only the foolish follow him, and know that there are many foolish dragons out there. He seems to be unaware of any problems but he also seems like he may truly be aware of the grueling conditions of this machine's work and he totally brushes it off. • He is adept in anything to do with machinery and knows this machine and its innards like his own soul. Perhaps it is his soul, and he treats it like so, and is the only one that could tell you how it was made and why it functions. Though he takes a natural leadership position he is also naturally clumsy - his favorite phrase is "OOPS!" as he 'accidentally' feeds a touring dragon into the blazing maw of the machine and "OOPS!" as the dragon's shrieks echo through the air as he 'accidentally' pulls the lever, creaking the large clamps shut and indefinitely trapping the dragon inside. • Sallondon is constantly seeking new employees to work for him and his machine. He is also constantly seeking dragons to feed to his machine, though he doesn't usually tell them that they're going to go take a swim within its magma-filled jaws. He is charismatic and makes promises that he never complies to and cuts corners everywhere possible in a manner that is hellish so other dragons often cannot help getting tied up in his horrible endeavors, and he makes it impossible for them to escape once they do. • Regarding the crystallized lava patches on his feathers that was an accident. It hurts constantly. Something exploded. Lots of dragons died. Accidents happen a lot here. It's okay. Not anything to worry about. • None of his employees are provided with proper safety gear. He also pays his employees with coal, which he has convinced many of them that this is a valuable currency out there in the real world. He feeds unruly employees(mainly dragons with mutinous mindsets and dragons who actually express a desire to leave this place, if not forever then at least for a little break) with coal laced with the machine's smog, that makes them terribly sick, which he then uses to convince his employees that going outside without conditioning does this to them. Suffice to say he's the only one that has gone outside these chambers and seen the light of day through this smog, but he ultimately prefers it here. |
