Biography

Rabia conjures a beautiful image redolent of mythology. It’s the name of one of the ten angels who accompanies the sun of its daily course. The moniker Rabia is hugely popular in the Arabic countries and means ‘spring’. And it has started to be drawn into the American mainstream as well. Rabia Balkhi, the Persian poet is its famous namesake.

Rabia happened upon this den, once she hatched from her Light nest. A happy accident, the other dragons of the clan are highly protective of her, especially Amaya, Puck, and Krahm, often referring to her as "the little angel".

Rabia came to the clan before Amaya's first hatchlings were born. Thus, Amaya in particular has taken the young dragon under her wing, viewing her as her adoptive daughter. Rabia, in turn, views Amaya as her adoptive mother. Both dragons fiercely love one another and are especially protective of one another. Their strong bond intimidates the other dragons of the clan, but thankfully no aggression to other dragons have come because of this bond.

Rabia gets along well with Amaya's biological children. She, surprisingly enough, has a special relationship with each dragon. For Titian, she admires his dream of becoming the leader of the clan. She often is the first supporter of his ideas for the clan, seeing them as strategies for the clan's overall improvement.

With Melantha, Rabia recognizes the young dragon's eagerness to prove herself through often physical means. Laughably, Melantha tried to beat Rabia is a play-duel, only to be crushed by the large dragon's size. Her pride a bit wounded, Melantha respects Rabia for her overall strength as well as willingness to be her sparing partner most of the time.

Rabia and Hedley always enjoy a good laugh together. By hanging out with him and Puck, Rabia has begun to pick up some banter skills herself. The trio are a laughing one and enjoy the exercise of seeing who can wipe out the other through pure laughter.
