The middle son of two Shade cultists, Tristus never seemed to like to fit the norm, absolutely hated the cult mindset. Magic was very frowned upon in the cult, as they worshipped something that had the goal of consuming all magic, so Fae, as creations of the god of magic, were seen as "inferior" and something to be "cleansed". Tristus was supposed to be sacrificed because of his magic, but ran away the night before, managing to stay alive. Once he knew he wasn't going to be taken back, Tristus decided to learn all the magic he could once outside of the cult. Eventually, he found the dragon pirates led by Swash and told her of his goals. She agreed to let him take exactly half of the magic tomes and items she and her fellow pirates had stolen for himself - as long as he stayed with her. He took the deal - he needed a new home, after all, and now he hopes to return to the cult territory with his new allies and defeat his father once and for all.
