Biography
Merrys
Courier
Courier
"I keep my friends close, and my faux pas closer. None may know of them. They never occurred."
~~~
~~~
As Gloamglow's courier, Merrys is in charge of travelling to nearby clans to send and receive any deliveries and messages. She is an excellent flyer and a good navigator, and is very efficient at her job as a result.
She's known for being a bit serious and rather proper, as well as having a tendency to get embarrassed easily. As a result, occasionally a clan member will put a ridiculous name on an order in the hopes that she reads it out when delivering it.
She's fallen for it a couple of times, and gets more and more frustrated each time it happens, which seemingly just makes it funnier for the perpetrator(s).
Backstory
~~~
Merrys first discovered her favorite secret by accident.
Her first day of flight as a grown dragon, she'd pinwheeled across the sky, and called out for sheer joy- that's when it had happened. Some of the red liquid within her had spilled out, and it was almost, but not quite, like choking.
She was terribly embarrassed for quite some time, and barely showed her face anywhere for months, just in case anyone had seen.
After enough time had passed to be reasonably certain that she was safe, and no one would come forward with stories of witnessing her event, she slowly, and with practiced causality, began to reappear to the outside world.
It was shortly after this however, that determined to never go through that again, she came to the decision. In order to avoid it, she must know what would and wouldn't cause it to happen, and work her entire life around that.
This was how she discovered that the liquid encapsulated within her was both an infinitely renewable source as well as caustic to the touch when directed in a certain manner, and most pleasingly, could be controlled.
This was the best outcome, anyway. Just in case, in the event she would ever need to use it.
One couldn't be too careful, after all, and as time went on, she found she was comforted by the existence of this constant defense. Perhaps her sister also has a hidden talent.
Lore by Onceler
~~~
One day, Merrys was eating at a fine restaurant in the Starfall Isles. As the waiter brought her what she had ordered, he said "Enjoy your meal," to which Merrys responded with "Thank you, you as well."
She ate in silence, left a generous tip, exited the restaurant, walked directly into the Starwood Strand, and then lied face down on the ground for the rest of the day.
Trivia (Lore):
- If a lost dragon ends up in the clan, then Merrys is usually the one to lead them out of the Starwood Strand. When doing so, she's accompanied by someone skilled in combat or magic, for protection of both her and the dragon she's escorting - she's agile enough that she generally doesn't need a guard on her own.
Trivia (Gameplay):
- Exalt rescue adopted from PuffinSweater.
- Originally a Basic/Basic/Capsule Skydancer.
- Currently 1/12 Obsidian/Twilight/Cherry dragons ever, and 1/4 not exalted (last checked 28th of June, 2021).
