History

Hestia is a simple, kind soul, a spirit and guardian of nature and of life. She wandered into the Clan's territory one day, already grown, wandering her way through the world and leaving behind a trail of plant life and light. It was impossible to take her as a threat and Stag, King at the time, invited her into their lair to stay for a while.

Hestia stayed perhaps a few night in the dens Stag had sectioned out, then without much of a word she moved to the hillside over the lair and made herself a nest in the soft grass just on the lip of the ledge down into the clan's main lair, surrounded by colorful trees, and that is where she stayed. Within days the Clan could tell her affinity for life and nature, and within weeks she had cemented a place in this Clan, unspoken, but uncontested.

She was with the Clan for only a month before Stag appointed her to his small circle of trusted advisers. Soon after that, he announced his retirement to the Clan, and Hestia, to her pleasant surprise, was appointed the figurehead of the Clan in his place. She peacefully refused to be a sole leader, and wordlessly bolstered the power of Stag's existing council and added more dragons to it, each with their own specialty and all with the power to make decisions.

While it many cases, appointing a newcomer and not a clan-born as leader may have come with strife, it was not so in the case of Hestia and Stag. Her nature was simply too genuine and readable, and there wasn't a soul in the lair who didn't trust her. Those with the awareness to ponder this were content with it- namely Yama, who was happy to continue as Soothsayer to Hestia.
